Sharpeness
Sharpnes and Gloucester are linked by a canal. Sharpness Docks developed in the later nineteenth century after a new dock was built in the 1870s to accommodate the larger ships then coming into service that were too big to pass up the canal. The area provides an alternative vision from the picturesque Cotswolds normally associated with the county.
